How do I earn Empire Avenue "Eaves" (virtual currency)?

Empire Avenue uses a virtual currency called "Eaves", signified by a blue "e" icon seen throughout the site. This virtual currency is used in all purchases, sales and trades of Shares on Empire Avenue, as well as purchasing Upgrades and creating Missions. This currency has no real-world value.

There are many ways to earn Eaves:

  1. Sell your virtual shares to others. Every time another user buys your virtual shares, you get to keep 50 % of the value of the virtual shares. So if someone buys 200 virtual shares in you at a price of 10e /virtual share, they pay 2100e (includes a 5% commission the buyer pays) and you get 1000e.
  2. Sell virtual shares from your portfolio for a profit. As you buy virtual shares in other profiles and as days pass, you will (hopefully!) find that the virtual stock price of those profiles has increased. You can then, if you wish, sell those virtual shares for a profit. As with a real stock market, a good strategy is "buy low, sell high". Remember, there is a commission (usually 5 %) for both buying and selling of virtual shares, so a very small increase in virtual stock price may not result in much profit.
  3. Earnings and Dividends for online activity: At the end of every day, Empire Avenue pays out activity Earnings to users for their online activity - their blog, Facebook posts, Twitter tweets and Empire Avenue activity.
    • Earnings are multiplied by a Dividend Multiplier to create a Dividend Pool. The Multiplier is based on a number of factors but mostly on your network value scores. This Dividend Pool is then divided amongst your Shareholders. Please note we increase the Dividend Pool linearly as your total shares increases. The Dividend Pool is divided equally based on the percentage of shares you own compared to the total shares. For example. If you own 100 shares of John and John has a total of 10,000 shares outstanding, you will be paid 100/10,000 or 0.1% of the dividend pool every day.
  4. Complete Missions to earn more eaves quickly.
